Joel
My name is Joel Martinez, and I’m a photographer and videographer based in Franklin, New Jersey, serving the NJ/NYC area and beyond.
Born in The Bronx and raised in Monroe, NY, I grew up surrounded by the energy of New York City. That influence still shows in my work today. I’m also a proud husband and dad, and my son and I even share the same birthday.I studied Communication at the University at Buffalo (SUNY), where I discovered my passion for photography. I’m also a proud member of NYC Prime Shot.
My goal is simple: to capture the beauty, strength, and personality of real people. I specialize in working with non-models and creating images that feel authentic, confident, and timeless.
As your photographer, you can expect someone who truly cares; someone who will go the extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable, look your best, and walk away with photos you’re genuinely proud of.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m traveling, spending time with my family, playing basketball, watching anime, or playing video games!
Crystal
Hi! My name is Crystal Rivera-Martinez, and I’m a photographer based in New Jersey. I assist as a second photographer for weddings and events to help capture every moment and make sure we cover all angles on your big day.
I was born and raised in New Jersey, and I’ve been interested in photography since I was a child, when my parents bought me my first Nikon camera. My husband, Joel, also helped grow my passion even more once we started working together and building our photography business.
I’m a graduate of Montclair State University, where I studied Early Childhood Education. I’ve always loved working with kids, which is why I especially enjoy photographing birthday parties, family sessions, and general photoshoots. My goal is to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the future.
When I’m not taking photos, I love reading books, using my Cricut for arts and crafts, drinking coffee, watching movies, and cuddling with our dog, Mikey.
Mikey
My name is Mikey Rivera! Although I won’t show up to your photoshoot or event, I provide the team with essential cuddles, love, and moral support.
I was born in New Jersey, and I’m a proud Maltese + Shih Tzu mix. I also have a lot of brothers and sisters.
I helped start this company by providing my modeling services for my humans, because they love taking pictures of me!
When I’m not working for Joel’s Vivid Snaps, you can usually find me going for walks, playing, and (most importantly) begging for treats.
